Zavier

Today we did story writing on the ipads. Here is Zavier's weekend story.

100's board

These 3 boys worked together to put the numbers on the 100's board. They did it before school one day. They were proud of their effort. Well done Lukas, Majah and Francesco.

Geometry - Position

The position of an object can be described. 
We used the position word cards, teddy bears and blocks to show position. We could tell our partners about what we had done.

Discovery day - Geometry

We had a Discovery Day about geometry and there were lots of interesting things for us to do in the Hall. We made things symmetrical, made 3D shapes and Miss Hutchings did some face painting. The pictures on our faces were symmetrical. We love Discovery Day and trying lots of different things.

Geometry - reflection

In geometry we were learning about how the position and appearance of an object can be changed by reflecting (flipping) it. We used mirrors to see how our pattern would look when we flipped the shapes over the strip of cardboard. When we had completed our task we took a photo of the result. 

Discovery in the classroom

We had 'Discovery' in our classroom on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. One of the things we could do was get 30 pieces of lego, make something with them, give our creation and name and then take a photo of it with the digital camera. Here are some of our efforts.
