Discovery in the classroom
We had 'Discovery' in our classroom on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. One of the things we could do was get 30 pieces of lego, make something with them, give our creation and name and then take a photo of it with the digital camera. Here are some of our efforts.
Fire fighters Rowan Huxford and James Kendrick came to school today to tell us about Fire Safety. They told us it was important that we know our name and address. We have to make sure we have a working smoke alarm in our houses. They also told us that lighters and matches are not toys and only adults can use them. We have to have a safe meeting place at our house in the event of a fire. You have to 'Get down' Get low' and 'Get out' if there is a fire.
Jordon and Addison
Jordon has a new sister. Her name is Addison and she is 8 weeks old. She came to visit Room 4 this week. Thank you Jordon for bringing your sister to see your teacher and classmates.
Bears
All of Room 4 stitched around a bear. Then they stuffed them and drew a face on them. The children named their bears and some of them have come to school every day. They are very well behaved bears and don't disrupt the class.
Lukas and Francesco
Lukas and Francesco made this whirly-gig. When they turned one of the pieces all of them went around. They were very proud of their effort.
